Strong
Broker Interest in The Sacks Group’s Luxury Charter Yachts
At this Month’s Antigua and St. Maarten Charter Shows
Sets the Stage for a Successful Caribbean Season
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – DECEMBER 18, 2009
– The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals (TSGYP) reported
a rise in luxury charter vacation
inquiries and bookings for the Caribbean holiday and winter season
following a successful showing at the recent MYBA St. Maarten Charter
Show, Dec. 4-7, 2009, and the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, Dec. 7-11,
2009. The yachts from TSGYP’s Charter Marketing Fleet that
participated in the shows – the Inace M/Y UNFORGETTABLE in
St. Maarten, and the two Hargraves M/Y COCKTAILS and M/Y HOOTER
PATROL IV in Antigua – received strong interest from Charter
Brokers from around the world.

M/Y UNFORGETTABLE
“The Charter Brokers
who toured our yachts and attended the festive parties we held onboard
them at both shows were universally complimentary. In particular,
UNFORGETTABLE’s newly refit interior, which we unveiled at
the St. Maarten Charter Show, was a huge hit,” said Jennifer
M. Saia, TSGYP President and Charter Specialist. “Although
attendance at the St. Maarten Show was disappointing, I heard comments
from the Charter Brokers who were there that they enjoyed not being
rushed to see the yachts and felt that they could really spend time
talking with the crews. It was a case of quality, not quantity.”
Saia added, “Although I was not able to
attend the Antigua show in person this year, members of The Sacks
Group team who were there reported that it was outstanding in terms
of the number of yachts and Charter Brokers on the docks. That,
and the fact that our phones have been ringing ever since, makes
me optimistic about this winter’s Caribbean charter season.”

Holiday Party” in St. Maarten
The parties that The Sacks Group threw for Charter
Brokers attending the shows were particularly inventive this year.
The 100-foot (30.5M) Inace M/Y UNFORGETTABLE (ex-CARIB QUEEN) was
the venue for a Hawaiian Holiday-themed party held on Saturday night
of the St. Maarten Charter Show. Everyone got into the spirit, wearing
grass skirts and leis, as the crew served delicious Eggnog Martinis
and hors d’oeuvres created by the yacht’s Chef Gerry
Pond.
“UNFORGETTABLE just had a soft goods refit
throughout her interior, which has given her a new feeling of understated
elegance,” said Jordanna Joffe, TSGYP Charter Fleet Coordinator.
“The Charter Brokers who were familiar with the yacht before
all complimented her new look.”
Staffed by Capt. Peter Martin and his four-person
crew, UNFORGETTABLE accommodates 10 guests in five beautifully appointed
staterooms. She is available in the Caribbean this winter for a
rate of U.S. $42,000 per week, plus expenses.
TSGYP also invited Charter Brokers to “You
Can’t Beat a Hargrave” Sunset Cocktails on Wednesday
evening during the Antigua Charter Yacht Show. The well-attended
event was held on board the 100-foot (30.5M) Hargrave M/Y COCKTAILS
and the 97-foot (29.6M) Hargrave M/Y HOOTER PATROL IV, which were
docked next to each other at the Antigua Yacht Club.
Both yachts feature flybridge hard tops fitted
with innovative, retractable Biminis, which were opened to the stars
for the party. The crew on COCKTAILS served a signature Rum Punch
while HOOTER PATROL IV poured a Ginger-Infused Vodka Cocktail garnished
with basil and ginger candy. COCKTAILS’ Chef Eric Glass –
who had just won Second Place in the Antigua Charter Yacht Show’s
annual Concours de Chef in the Carib Bean Roasters Category with
his Coconut Coffee Layer Cake – created savory snacks for
the event.
“It was brilliant; we had more than 50 Brokers
on board the two Hargraves during the party,” said Allison
Cecilio, TSGYP Charter Fleet Manager. “Not only did the event
show off each individual yacht, but it also demonstrated to the
Brokers how great it would be to offer them together as a tandem
charter for a large family or group of friends. With all the water
toys each boat has on board, it would certainly “double the
pleasure” for the guests.
COCKTAILS and HOOTER PATROL IV each host eight
guests in four staterooms. Both Hargraves are equipped with a full
suite of water toys and each features a serious tow-behind fishing
tender that can accompany the yacht by prior arrangement. Each yacht
is available for charter in the Caribbean starting at a rate of
U.S. $42,500 per week, plus expenses, for six guests and U.S. $45,000
per week, plus expenses, for up to eight guests.
Cecilio added, “In general, the Antigua
Charter Yacht Show was upbeat and positive. There was a great vibe
on the docks.”
